Dairy Innovation Australia commenced operations 2007 with support, investment and leadership from the Australian Dairy Industry. Based at Werribee, approximately 40 km south-west of Melbourne, Dairy Innovation Australia has state of the art facilities in starter culture production, pilot plant processing and sensory testing. A team of over 30 highly qualified scientific staff qualified in process engineering and design, food technology and applications, microbiology and ingredients sciences is supported with formal research relationships with many Australian universities as well as linkages to the global dairy R&D community.
